Ambos elencos recorren el país de Putre a Tierra del Fuego, llevando una dramaturgia propia (Los amores del amor, Cuestión de brujos, asunto del aire, etc. de Guzmán y Juanito Madera, Los cuentos de Pedro Urdemales de Matamala). De características diferenciadas, comparten, sin embargo, rasgos comunes, como la ya mencionada dramaturgia original; la vocación por la gira y la presentación en lugares acondicionados rápida y precariamente como teatros ”gimnasios, patios de escuelas, polideportivos”; la multifuncionalidad de los teatristas integrantes; y, finalmente, un fuerte liderazgo de sus directores, tanto en lo referido a la producción dura (organización y administración de la empresa, proyectos, financiamiento, etc.), como a la propuesta estética y política. Tanto más importante nos parece revelar esta pequeña historia, cuanto su conocimiento en el mundo teatral chileno (es decir, santiaguino) es prácticamente nulo. Otros interesantes aspectos merecen ser estudiados más allá del surgimiento de estas propuestas: El reemplazo de la Compañía de la UACH por la Pequeña Isla; el trabajo de otros grupos independientes; el definitivo engarce del teatro en la academia, mediante investigación, publicaciones, organización de encuentros, seminarios y congresos en la Universidad Austral de Chile; y, sobre todo, su presencia como currículum, con una asignatura obligatoria y cinco optativas, en la malla curricular de la Escuela de Profesor en Lenguaje y Comunicación, que finalmente posibilita a los graduados de esta escuela a obtener una certificación de Director de Teatro Escolar. Esta presencia se manifiesta en la compañía de los alumnos de la escuela de Lenguaje y Comunicación, Zotavento (sic), y se proyecta hacia el futuro en cursos de post grado y en la implementación de un Diplomado en teatro: educación y creatividad, a partir de 2019, cosa que será descrita en un capítulo especial por la profesora Claudia Rodríguez Monarca. Estos antecedentes someros, nos hacen pensar en la perentoria necesidad de conocer, fijar y difundir la rica y singular historia teatral valdiviana como las raíces del árbol del teatro local del siglo XXI que las nuevas generaciones cuidarán y harán crecer. Cabe mencionar que la gran mayoría de los actores (en el sentido de intervinientes activos) del período siguen viviendo en Valdivia o están al alcance vía teléfono o mail. De tal manera hemos hecho un listado preliminar de 36 participantes activos del movimiento, que pueden no tan sólo darnos sus relatos, sino socializar una vasta colección de afiches, programas de mano, recortes de los diarios de la época, fotografías, etc. Para la revisión de prensa contamos con el archivo de El diario Austral y el Diario 24 Horas en la Biblioteca Municipal y el archivo de El Correo de Valdivia existente en la Municipalidad local (este último solo como referencia, ya que había sido reemplazado por el Austral en el período que se estudiará). Finalmente, debemos mencionar que este trabajo es la continuación de el anterior proyecto de investigación La escena temblorosa. Historia del teatro en Valdivia (1960-1990), con su producto libro en etapa final y cuyo avance presentamos en anexo. Desde su temprana infancia y toda su juventud debió enfrentarse a una sociedad sin preparación para aceptar las diferencias, vive momentos de discriminación, desolación, incomprensión, por el hecho de haber nacido ciego. Por el contexto político chileno en 1986 decide emigrar a Argentina con su familia. En 1992 regresan a Valdivia y desde 1993 comienza a tocar su acordeón en la calle Ramón Picarte y Camilo Henríquez hasta el inicio de la pandemia en 2020. En Valdivia es nombrado tesoro viviente por la Universidad Austral de Chile. El hombre del acordeón se trasformó en un ícono de Valdivia. La ciudad espera su reaparición. Según las palabras de Raúl; «espero que este libro sirva para que las personas con capacidades diferentes sean incluidas en la sociedad chilena y vivan libres de discriminaciones». Parece evidente que la gran pulsión que alimenta a esta literatura surge desde los intersticios y fisuras de un mundo fragmentado al que el desolado personaje que se erige a menudo en la voz de estos poemas intenta organizar en una discursividad cartesiana que, no obstante, nunca logra engañarnos del todo. La ironía de tal gesto resulta con frecuencia el gran acierto de muchos de estos textos. El simulacro de organización en que se intenta hacer descansar el sin sentido de situaciones aberrantes en las que, sin embargo, no reconocemos la pura fantasía, sino una cierta fatalidad que bien podría recibir el nombre de realidad. La disonancia que muchos de los textos establecen entre la racionalidad de su discurso y la delicuescencia de sus temas, juega el papel de proyectar sobre el lenguaje una extraña luz que parece fundir (confundir) dicho lenguaje y su hipotético exterior. Es en este aspecto que esta poesía resuelve con maestría aquella exigencia que pesa sobre cualquier arte, es decir, que la forma no alcance un protagonismo que reduzca el sentido a una mera espuma. La argucia parece ser aquí que todos los textos arrancan de lugares previamente advertidos, de situaciones y espacios que pre existen a cualquier trocadura en lenguaje, que quizás ya son otro lenguaje. Se advierte pues, una tópica ante la cual el lenguaje de los textos termina por revelárnosla bajo un aspecto a veces espectral, a veces, en su pura banalidad. Dra. De los acontecimientos del pasado, un papel a veces protagónico Guardadas las debidas proporciones, parece ser que el acontecimiento de la toma de Valdivia en 1820 por la escuadra chilena al mando de Lord Tomás Alejandro Cochrane, tuvo en su época una significación tal que es difícil captarla partiendo desde nuestra actual visión sobre el rol que en la gesta de la independencia debieron desempeñar las distintas regiones del continente. Sólo la conmemoración del sesquicentenario de aquel heroico evento ha venido a desencadenar la composición de una serie de monografías y artículos que cual más, cual menos, muchas veces rectifican apreciaciones rutinariamente repetidas por la historiografía tradicional, si es que no revelan novedades de más o menos bulto en el conjunto de los acontecimientos que en definitiva precipitaron la total liberación del continente americano respecto de la metrópoli que por tres siglos, con inevitables limitaciones pero también con innegables aciertos, había tutelado su paulatino desarrollo hasta hacerlo llegar a la madurez necesaria para poder labrarse por sí mismo la legítima independencia. El estudio que sigue a esta presentación se inscribe dentro de esta línea y es por esto que su publicación- no puede menos de celebrarse plausiblemente como otra visualización más dentro del enfoque positivo que un acontecimiento del pasado, de la relevancia del que se trata, se merece. ha autora, que obtuvo uno de los premios acordados en el concurso nacional abierto con motivo de la conmemoración citada, ha logrado hacer una presentación veraz de los hechos en términos capaces de llegar en forma directa al lector no necesariamente erudito, tal vez el más necesitado de adecuada información. Este solo mérito asegura al presente estudio una misión concreta que complementa la de las otras obras dedicadas específicamente y tal vez a veces en forma bastante profunda al fenómeno estudiado abarcando todas sus virtualidades.
