En este escenario resulta urgente asegurar el flujo de capital para que el engranaje no se desmonte. La relojería de la naciente industria audiovisual chilena requiere una visión sinóptica que asegure nuevos ingresos de capital y mayor demanda del producto a nivel doméstico, a la par del incremento en las exportaciones. De otro modo, la multiplicación y la hipertrofia que presentan los contenidos audiovisuales chilenos arriesgarán el eventual cierre de PYMEs que sostienen el tejido de nuestra industria local y con ello la pérdida de la inversión hecha por el Estado en cine y televisión. Se cometerá, pues, el mismo error de 1949 y 1973, cuando los dos grandes proyectos de industria de cine nacional llegaron a su fin sin mediar, por un lado, una evaluación de lo hasta ahí invertido y, por otro, la necesidad de complementar dicha inversión con nuevas y originales políticas públicas.
