INVITACIí“N A ISLA DEL REY Hace veinte años, Clemente Riedemann invitaba a Karra Maw'n, tras cuyo nombre -tan "exótico" como casi todo lo autóctono pueda resultar a cualquier chileno- había una geografía física y humana perfectamente reconocible. Ahora, en cambio, un nombre tan familiar a mi adolescencia, me exige atender a todo indicio verbal para orientarme en los paisajes anímicos de Isla del Rey pintados con tonos radiantes o sombríos, pero de trazo siempre firme. En materia de estilo, para describirlo debo apelar a la llamada prosa poética mejor cultivada por nuestros poetas -Pedro Prado, digamos, Efraín Barquero- aunque tal vez un poco más cercana al verso o versículo en la expresión formal de sus imágenes: el almacigo en que reposan tus padres; no tenía esperanzas, ni eñaba desesperado; el cuerpo del otro como una casa vacía; las tragedias del pasado te hacen hoñezar; tus ojos reúnen en la playa cuanto el mar ha disuelto en la memoria; ardor en las verijas que no saben qué hacer en su capullo... Siendo así, no es de extrañar que el texto renueve la vigencia de la fábula, género que tan bien se avino siempre al cruce de prosa y verso. Eso sí, a la moraleja, estas fábulas prefieren la reflexión irónicamente desencantada, como ese niño que recuerda una partida de caza con su padre: "¡Oh, no quieras ser pájaro nunca! -me decía". En Isla del Rey se descubren al menos dos narradores protagónicos, y aventuro que uno, el masculino, mira hacia el pasado -a la memoria- y otro, el femenino, apunta al futuro -a la herencia-. Aunque más exacto sería hablar de lo masculino y lo femenino. Deseo compartir mi sorpresa por este viaje de regreso a los territorios fundacionales de la poesía de Clemente Riedemann. Y mi complacencia porque viaje, vehículo verbal y puerto de arribo, sean tan otros y tan los mismos. Evolución y permanencia. Ahora ya no es el territorio, es un mapa afectivo para que las' nuevas generaciones de lectores vuelvan a la tierra en que fueron semilla. O en que lo fue el autor. Y para que los viejos -ojalá no envejecidos- mantengamos en alto, inclaudicable, un sentido de pertenencia. La poesía habla por sí sola. Lo que yo -extranjero y extraño- mal pueda decir es superfluo, prescindible. Leyendo Kogen, de Leonel Lienlaf, me viene la idea de que la poesía es traducción (la buena poesía, la rara poesía que sí es poesía): se expresa con palabras lo que no puede decirse con palabras, y parte de la extrañeza, la extrañeza de la entraña intraducible; porque la entraña es lo más extraño, por asombroso, por inefable. Leonel, vlkantufe cuya lengua materna es el mapuzungun, acude al castellano para traducir su diálogo con la naturaleza, con la que el poeta no se diferencia, sino que vive una continuidad: las divisiones son artificiales. Finalmente, a través de esa doble traducción, acude a nosotros la resonancia del profundo encuentro. Doble traducción: una implícita, desde la naturaleza, de la que el poeta parte y es parte, a la lengua materna que hizo sus ojos, que refleja como espejo de agua el mundo natural, y otra, explícita, hasta la expresión castellana, que queda fecundada por las visiones, los sueños, las experiencias que moldean la lengua extraña entrañándola, naturándola, hermanándola. Hay quien se queja de que Leonel Lienlaf escriba en español, pero no es para ser dominado por la vieja lengua imperial, sino para domeñarla como Lautaro-Leftraru el kawellu-caballo, cambiándole la mirada. No se engañen pensando que el poeta renegó de su lengua: al contrario, reniega de la reducción, y amplía el territorio, es un estratega, y mucha será su obra por llegar en mapuzungun. Escribe también en castellano sencillamente porque el castellano también es su lengua, aunque la trabaja de otra manera. Escribe desde la misma raíz de la diferencia latinoamericana, en que una lengua se convierte en algo distinto por el protagonismo de quienes la trabajan, que literalmente no caben en el molde y lo rebosan y renuevan. La palabra, su voz, cae como oleaje, o lluvia, o bruma, donde más de una voz nos invita a ver tras lo aparente. Los tres poemarios del libro portan una voz femenina definida y activa, surtiendo de nuevos sentidos a la poesía mapuche y trasgrediendo la poesía hegemónica latinoamericana. En Tentaciones de Eva la voz poética desestructura el logo occidental judeo-cristiano (manzana), hace desplante y parodia las reglas; cuerpo y eros se distancian del tabú y reinventa el ser mujer. Pu llimeñ ñi rulpázuamelkaken (Seducción de los venenos) será poesía y sentido, el mapudungun será la representación primaria de lo poético; si está en la tradición siempre la sobrepasa, porque esta voz propia viaja a otras culturas; la desborda y va en clave mapuche. Y Shumpall se teje como sueño y ritual -el azul y el mar, bordes del mar y oleajes, pez, sal, lo deseado y lo amado- en un español que nos sabe a mapudungun; imaginado como sueño, vuelve sobre el azul, ahora cuestionado, como el espacio de la muerte; en los oleajes moldea la palabra, de idas y retorno, de la cercanía y la distancia, de la pérdida, donde el mapa y el azul mapuche terminan por confundirse con las laderas íntima de los amores y el desamor, la lejanía y el encuentro, y por ello es ritual. Roxana Miranda reinventa las fronteras y parodia lo aceptado, la suya es una poesía de imágenes y metáforas, de ritmos y movimientos superpuestos, rápidos y, a veces, leves, que la convierte en una poesía trasgresora e íntimamente intensa, donde lo tradicional rodea los sentidos y se actualiza en el ahora. Es voz femenina que se desplaza y da sentido a Kopuke filu, de cuerpo y ritual, donde el sueño azul no basta para el mapuche contemporáneo: una poesía desbordante. La muerte del abuelo –aludida en el libro– manifiesta esa distancia y silencio que instaura un ambiente de incertidumbre respecto a una búsqueda, quizá epocal: qué es lo que nos falta, y por qué nos hace falta. Desde ahí el texto desarrolla un recorrido temporal, desde la infancia hasta nuestros días, en un intento por aprehender lo irreversible.
